For the first time, Murcia will commemorate Hispanic Day with a hoist of the national flag, which will be held tomorrow at La Glorieta de España, at 1:00 p.m., in compliance with the motion passed in plenary on September 26.
Previously, on the occasion of the feast of the Virgen del Pilar, Belluga Square will host the traditional award ceremony of the Civil Guard, at 11:30 am.
In addition to raising the institutional flag on the occasion of the National Holiday of Spain - an act open to all citizens who wish to join -, on Saturday afternoon the facade of the Moneo building will be illuminated with the colors of the flag of our country, giving also compliance with the motion approved by the Plenary.
The raising of the flag will be attended by the Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, the Minister of Education and Culture, María Esperanza Moreno, the Government Delegate, Francisco Jiménez, the President of the Regional Assembly, Alberto Castillo, the Colonel of the Civil Guard, Jesús Arribas, the admiral of Maritime Action, Juan Luis Sobrino, the delegate of Defense, José Ignacio Martí, the president of the Superior Court of Justice, Miguel Pascual del Riquelme, the superior prosecutor, José Luis Díaz, the colonel of the infantry regiment of Zaragoza number 5, José Manuel Ruipérez, the chief of the National Police, Alfonso Navarro, and members of the Municipal Corporation, among other authorities.
