The Moneo building, the Almudí Palace, Alfonso X, the Murcia Rio, the Manterola catwalks and the Jorge Manrique light up blue today, starting at 8:00 p.m. on the occasion of World Dyslexia Day.
The City Council thus joins the national campaign '#UnidosPorLaDislexia', promoted by the Spanish Federation of Dyslexia and other specific language difficulties (DEA).
In this way, some of the most representative buildings in the city will turn blue in order to sensitize and make known to society this alteration that affects a minimum of 10% of the population.
Dyslexia is a learning disorder that is characterized by difficulties in accuracy and fluency in word recognition and decoding and word writing problems.
In this way, the City Council, through the Department of Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, directed by José Guillén, responds to the call of associations representing the Spanish Federation of Dyslexia to illuminate a representative monument in order to give visibility to this cause.
