The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the Councilor for Employment, Economic Promotion and Tourism, Pedro García Rex, visited today the 1st Municipal Fair of Employment and Entrepreneurship, 'Murcia Employ', which is held throughout the day of today at the Artillery Barracks.
This is a day that will be attended by more than 500 people seeking employment and entrepreneurs, who will have the opportunity to receive guidance and establish direct contacts with companies, entities and institutions, which publicize the services offered to unemployed and entrepreneurs, In addition to facilitating the recruitment of qualified and unemployed professionals and disseminating self-employment as a job opportunity.
The day has been organized from the Employment and Economic Promotion Services of the City of Murcia, with the collaboration of the UMU, the SEF and the INFO.
Workshops
In addition to a meeting point for companies and unemployed people, there will be five free workshops on "Useful metaphors for Job Search", "Entrepreneurship in Murcia", "Autoempléate, this is the time!", "New aid for Employment and Self-Employment "," The Future of European Funds ".
Appointments for employment
To promote an effective and close meeting between human resources managers of companies and job seekers, a giant tent has been installed in the Artillery Barracks where Job Dates or appointments for employment will be held, aimed at people who They are looking for work and students of the last year of training cycles and degree.
These are three open and free sessions of 45 minutes that will take place at 10:00, 11:00 and 12:00 hours taught by a team of technicians from the Vives Emploa and Vives Emprende de Acción Contra el Hunmbre programs.
In addition to the tent area, the Fair is distributed in three other spaces of the Artillery Barracks: the Patio de Armas, with 48 stands in which entities, companies and organizations from the third sector participate;
the Párraga Center, place of conferences and awards gala;
and the Conservatory of Music, where the workshops are held in parallel in two rooms.
Presentations and round table
Within the program there will be a round table on "Changes in employment, how does it affect us?"
and different presentations by the Director of Integral Projects of the Barcelona City Council, Africa Cardona Gilbert, on "White Paper on the future of work";
and from the consultant, trainer and professional development speaker Rubén Montesinos Torres, who will talk about "How not to be a work zombie".
XXX Anniversary of the Employment Service
In parallel, the 'Murcia Employ' Fair coincides with the XXX anniversary of the Employment Service of the City of Murcia.
To celebrate it there will be an exhibition by the photographer Joaquín Zamora about the "Thirty Years of Employment in the municipality of Murcia. History of the Workshop Schools", which will host the Párraga Center.
This evening there will be an awards gala to commemorate the works that have been carried out through the Mixed Employment and Training Projects throughout its history and a video about the 30 years of the Employment Service will be screened.
The Murcia Murcia Hospitality School will serve coffee and food to the attendees for free.
