The Councilor for Social Rights and Family, Pilar Torres, and the Councilor for Seniors, Disability and Development Cooperation, Paqui Pérez, presented this morning, together with the president of the Association for people with autism spectrum disorder in the Region of Murcia (Asteamur), Nani Martínez, the VII edition of the GastroTEA Solidarity Workshop.
The event will be held next Monday, October 21, and the benefits will be used to raise funds for the therapeutic intervention of people with autism spectrum disorder, condition and maintain the different headquarters of Asteamur, increase the presence of this association in society and promote awareness about autism.
The day will start at the Teatro Circo, at 9.30 am, with the Cooking Show 1001 Flavors at the hands of the chef with two Michelin stars Paco Roncero, a world cuisine reference, head chef of La Terraza del Casino de Madrid.

In the afternoon, the children of Asteamur will participate in a cooking workshop taught by Paco Roncero that will be supported by the association's therapists and will take place at the School of Hospitality and Tourism of Murcia La Flota.
This seventh edition will be closed by the Solidarity Gala Dinner at La Casa de la Luz Restaurant, at 8.30 pm, with a menu designed and prepared by the La Terraza del Casino team, which will be supported by Amureco professionals.

In the previous editions of GastroTEA, renowned chefs such as Andoni Luis Aduriz (2 * Michelin), Eneko Atxa (3 * Michelin), Paco Pérez (5 * Michelin), Joan Roca (3 * Michelin) and Ángel León (4 * Michelin) have participated ) that have made it one of the largest solidarity gastronomic events in the Region and with the greatest impact at the national level.
The Councilor for the Elderly, Disability and Development Cooperation, Paqui Pérez, highlighted "the immense work and effort that this association carries out to raise awareness in Murcia about autism through conferences such as these that, in addition to being beneficial, raise awareness our rich and varied gastronomy turning it into a national showcase ".
For his part, Pilar Torres, Councilor for Social and Family Rights, thanked Murcia that "one more year, they have turned to this initiative collaborating with this association and helping Murcia to be more fair. From the City Council we will continue working and collaborating with Asteamur, an essential association in our society in its support, both professional and human, for families with children suffering from autistic disorder. It should be remembered that last November the new center for early care for people with autism in Asteamur was inaugurated in the city of Murcia that serves about half a hundred families in the municipality thanks to the transfer of a local by the Murcia City Hall, located in Centrofama.
These 160 m2 facilities consist of five therapeutic intervention cabinets and a multi-sensory and psychomotor stimulation classroom.
