The Municipal Socialist Group has real doubts about the proposed agreement of the Governing Board today for the Urbamusa company to manage the ORA service.
"There are many gaps in this process and, above all, what there is more is a flagrant lack of transparency and reports that support this remunicipalisation because we do not know what will happen to all staff and, in addition, we believe that this decision can pretend to cover up other subsequent awards, "says councilman Juan Vicente Larrosa.
It clarifies that "the change of management system of a service corresponds to the Plenary and not to the Governing Board" and "we believe that the Board of Directors was not constituted for not discussing this matter".
The councilor warns that the PSOE "absolutely agrees with the return of public services to the City Council, with the remunicipalisation, but not in any way" and, for now, the proposal of the Governing Board for Urbamusa to manage the ORA service is being carried out with "nocturnality and total opacity".
Likewise, he points out that "we do not have a technical and economic feasibility study that supports or guarantees the effectiveness of the new ORA service managed by Urbamusa, a company whose activity is urbanization."
Larrosa points out that "if there is a need to remunicipate services, why does the City Council not do it directly? We believe that it is a covert remunicipalisation because the ORA will remain in the hands of a company, Urbamusa, which although it is municipal, is halfway ".
Finally, the mayor criticizes that Councilman Eduardo Martínez-Oliva "drops his speech when he said in plenary that outsourced services are cheaper provided from a company than from the City Council", and takes the opportunity to question what will happen with other services, whose remunicipalisation we have claimed, for example, 092, the crane and tax management.
