Leonarda García Jiménez, researcher at the Faculty of Communication and Documentation;
and Marcos Bote Díaz, a researcher at the Faculty of Economics and Business, have obtained Leonardo Scholarships for researchers and cultural creators granted by the BBVA Foundation.
Both professors of the University of Murcia have competed in this call 1,400 applications submitted in different modalities.
Leonarda García Jiménez will carry out for 18 months the project entitled 'Feminize Communication Sciences: Memory and Contribution of Women Researchers', in which she will review and interview international experts in communication with a high-impact scientific production.
Marcos Bote Díaz, professor of the department of Sociology, will carry out the research project 'Sexuality and Functional Diversity (SEXFUN)', which for 18 months will investigate the affective and sexual relationships of people with functional diversity.
The Leonardo Scholarships of the BBVA Foundation are intended to directly support personal projects of researchers and cultural creators in intermediate stages of their career, between 30 and 45 years, characterized by a highly innovative scientific, technological or cultural production.
