The Councilor for Seniors, Disability and Development Cooperation, Paqui Pérez, has described as "very positive and emotional" the two 'Intergenerational Encounters' framed in the programming of the First Week of the Major.
The first one took place yesterday, at the CEIP Maestro José Castaño;
and the second one, held today, in the social center for the elderly in San Antón.
These conferences have allowed children and adults to establish links through the exchange of experiences related to their activities, the use of language and new technologies.
Councilwoman Paqui Pérez has highlighted the importance of activities of this type that favor interaction and intergenerational coexistence.
So much so that the Department plans to extend the experience to the rest of the 76 social centers of the municipality.
Achieving greater participation and autonomy of the elderly in society, combating unwanted loneliness, encouraging the exchange of experiences and values between generations and mutual assistance are some of the priority objectives of the Department of Elderly, Disability and Development Cooperation.
