The Santa Bárbara de Javalí Nuevo Paratrooper Brigade will host on October 19, starting at 5 p.m., the Third Legend, in which a thousand people can participate.
It is a sporting obstacle test, which combines different physical skills and abilities with different circuits and distances, being one of its main objectives to make known the Spanish military culture of the best military unit that has existed until the time, whose facts one of the most glorious times in the history of Spain occurred between the 16th and 17th centuries.
Thus, participants will have to overcome walls, water zone, balance and strength obstacles, labyrinths and shooting area, among other obstacles.
Tercios Legend is organized by the cultural and sports association Tercios Legend, the Zaragoza Infantry Regiment No. 5 of the "Almoga'raves" VI Brigade of the BRIPAC Paratrooper, the Murcia Challenge Sports Club, in collaboration with the Department of Sports and Health of the City of Murcia.
In this test, whose registration can be made on the website www.tercioslegend.com, anyone can participate without distinction of sex or nationality, provided they have reached the age of 16 on the day of the test, being necessary for minors parental authorization .
There will be two distances, of 5 kilometers and 9 kilometers, and every ten minutes will proceed to the exit by waves of 100 participants.
The categories and Trophies are established as follows:
- 1,2 and 3 male for 5k distance
- 1,2 and 3 male for 9k distance
- 1,2 and 3 female for 5k distance
- 1,2 and 3 female for distance 9k
- Absolute prize for younger runner
- Absolute prize for the longest running runner
- Special Category: Military Third Parties (to be a member of the armed forces, it is necessary to present personal identification in the trophy collection).
- Prize for the largest group.
- Team prize:. The time of the first 4 components of the group will be counted.
The group must have a minimum of 5 members (it will be necessary to reach the finish line together or with a maximum time difference of 1 minute).
The test will feature liquid and solid supplies, t-shirt, physiotherapy, free parking, cloakroom and medical services.
The route is full of mentions to the Spanish Third and each obstacle will have the name of a hero or historical fact.
