Murcia refills music with different news] | The Big Up!

The great music event in Murcia returns.

Big Up !, organized thanks to the collaboration between the City of Murcia and Son Buenos, celebrates its seventh edition between October 9 and 12.

The Councilor for Culture and Heritage Recovery, Jesús Pacheco, explained that "Big Up! Means it is an urban term that was born in Jamaica with the meaning of respect and with this initiative we are committed to respect the musician and the musician profession, contributing information, tools and keys to carry out his trade ".

This seventh edition has different news.

On the one hand, the Big Up!

Calle will have a central stage, the Plaza de los Apóstoles, where the music will sound throughout Saturday 12.

To this space is added the Plaza de Santa Catalina, where there will also be concerts in the morning, and the Verónica Wall and the entrance of Los Molinos del Río, where the evening performances will be held.

In this way, between 12 and 21 hours, national and regional bands will perform.

The selected bands are two nationals, Eva Mcbel de Zaragoza, based in Madrid, and María de Juan, Valencian based in Granada, a band based in Austria, Doktor Franz, and three Murcian bands, Arde Bogotá, Vuela Mamut and Ángel Calvo and Long distance trains.

In addition, two extra showcases will be held courtesy of the 25th Anniversary of the national publication Mondosonoro, by Mala Cotton.

Musical selection from the Region, Warner Chappel, Altafonte and Mondosonoro have been part of the selection.

Several experts from the national music industry will come to visit Murcia to learn about these proposals and our city.

Among them we have Baltimore Productions, Sonde3, Art Musik Agency, Vida Festival, Warner Chappel, Altafonte, El País, Radio 3, Monndosonoro, Sony Music, Mondosonoro, FIV, Prysa Radio ...

Another novelty is the programming of 'Impacts' since music has generated and generates social, cultural, economic, media, local or global impacts.

'The Defense of copyright for the musician without editorial assignment', by Mª Ángeles Giménez and Juan José Jordán by SGAE, General Society of Authors and Publishers;

and 'La Actualidad musical: what happens in today's industry and how?', by Julián Carrillo who will talk about legal, labor and financial matters.

These talks are essential for anyone who wants to make music their profession and to understand the moment in which they live.
