The Moneo building will host next Thursday, October 3, the eleventh edition of the Conference of Local Economies, organized by the Faculty of Labor Sciences of the University of Murcia, next to the Observatory of Rural Development, Local and Employment and the City Council of Murcia.
The Councilor for Urban Agenda and Open Government, Mercedes Bernabé, will be in charge of inaugurating this event that has already established itself as one of the benchmarks in strategic planning at the municipal level, to publicize some of the programs that have been put into operation such as the Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development Strategy (EDUSI) Murcia Innovation and Tradition, innovation and development projects that are being designed in the field of circular economy and the application of European funds for urban development.
“The conference aims to review some of the most important aspects for the development of effective strategic planning at the municipal level, as well as analyze the importance of having dynamic planning frameworks capable of adapting to a changing reality and a fluid socio-economic context, in that project planning is of decisive importance, â€explains Mercedes Bernabé.
In this edition, a prominent space will also be reserved for the deployment process of the Spanish Urban Agenda.
Thus, through the conference 'Process of elaboration of the Murcia 2030 Agenda', the councilwoman will present some of the keys in the design process, highlighting the importance of “citizen participation and the constant evaluation of the agenda to have a versatile, effective planning tool that responds to the needs of Murcia â€.
In addition, as every year, attendees will know some of the most emblematic experiences and interventions that have been carried out in recent years in Murcia, such as the Alfonso X pedestrianization process or the interventions that are being carried out in the Artillery Barracks, in addition to other initiatives such as urban acupuncture actions carried out from the Urban DNA.
