The objective of the action, which has had the collaboration of the City of Murcia, is to train the park professionals.

Among the performances has highlighted a fire inside the restaurant and a leak and capture of a giraffe.

"Terra Natura is one of the green lungs of the city, surrounded by nature and animals. It is important to carry out these actions to be prepared for any emergency situation, as a safety measure for the citizens, workers and animals of the park", highlights the councilor.

Terra Natura Murcia, in collaboration with the City of Murcia, has developed today, as part of its security and protocol plan, a fire and evacuation drill at the animal and nature park facilities.

Around 20 employees have participated in this self-protection protocol in order to know in detail how they should act in a possible emergency situation.

Before the simulated action, workers have received a fire prevention training course.

Subsequently, a simulation has been carried out that has aimed to strengthen and put into practice the knowledge acquired.

“Specifically, two emergency situations have been simulated.

On the one hand, a fire inside the restaurant for which some workers have been able to use smoke machines and extinguishing practices with ABC-CO2 powder and bie / moisturizer and, on the other, the subsequent escape and capture of a giraffe, which has been developed efficiently and without incident â€, highlights the Councilor for Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, José Guillén.

The training activity has included diverse theoretical and practical knowledge about the extinction of fires and emergencies among a group formed by professionals from different areas of the complex.

"Terra Natura is one of the green lungs of the city, surrounded by nature and animals. It is important to be prepared for any emergency situation, as a safety measure for citizens, workers and animals of the park," said the councilor.
