The municipal Plenary has approved the joint motion regarding the request for information to ADIF about the works of the AVE in the Vereda de Tabala.

The layout of the AVE at the height of the village of Tabala, in the hamlet of Alquerías was a barrier to the natural eviction of water, aggravating the floods in this area and especially affecting the neighbors who live nearby, even causing breakage and displacement of the slope of the High Speed ​​tracks.

This fact was already warned by the neighbors who, together with the representatives of the Municipal Board of Alquerías and councilors of the municipal corporation, decided to raise to the company responsible for the works, ADIF, through the City of Murcia, a letter with the following four points:

1. Ask ADIF for the chronology of the actions that will be carried out in the affected area at the height of the village of Tabala de Alquerías, requesting that no action is taken on the roads until the information requested in the following point is known. .

2. That Adif make a proposal for an acceptable solution for neighbors about the problem that has caused the disappearance of about 100 meters of track at the height indicated

3. That ADIF establish a direct communication channel with the residents of Alquerías through its Mayor President of the Municipal Board

4. That ADIF disclose to us the future projects that they plan to pass through the said area

Now, the Municipal Corporation has approved this joint motion that includes urging ADIF to urgently and effectively comply with the requests of the neighbors, expressing their solidarity, support and commitment to the affected neighbors in the village of Tabala and with the affected by the flood in the entire municipality of Murcia.

Likewise, the Plenary Session of the City Council of Murcia supports the requests of the affected neighbors who have already been transferred to the Secretary of State and responsible company
