The University of Murcia has celebrated this Wednesday, September 25, the act of tribute and recognition to the UMU women's futsal team, which was declared the winner in the European University Championship, held in Portugal last July, in a final against the University of Munster (Germany).
The rector, José Luján, has dedicated words of thanks to the team members and assured that they are the best example of the 'UMU sentiment'.
Luján has encouraged them to continue studying and continue practicing sports.
The event, which was held in the Gallery of Rectors of the Convalescence building, was also attended by the Minister of Tourism, Youth and Sports, Cristina Sánchez López, who has dedicated affectionate words to the players, emphasizing the importance of work as a team to achieve objectives.
The rector and the counselor have received a team shirt signed by all its members.
The University, for its part, has given them a commemorative gift.
