The Councilor for Sustainable Development and Huerta, Antonio Navarro, visited this morning the urbanization works of a new Partial Plan in Barriomar, next to the chimney of 'La Molinera'.
The project, which covers an area of 16,693 square meters, will incorporate into the city a large landscaped public space of 4,907 square meters, as well as about forty public parking spaces on the surface.
The urbanization works will include, on the entrance and distribution roads and sidewalks, low-energy LED lighting and a woodland that provides shade to the pedestrian paths.
Regarding private use, the project, which is developed by EMA Arquitectos, contemplates the execution of another 3,235 square meters of green area, linked to the three blocks of houses, with 2,3 and 4 bedrooms.
Each block will have 74 homes along its 7 floors plus attic, reaching 2,300 square meters built per block, thus offering a new 7,000 square meters of new housing in the neighborhood.
Two of the blocks are designed elevated on the ground floor increasing the feeling of open spaces in the pedestrian's visual.
To all this is added the ground floor of the first of these blocks, bordering the Avenida de Almería, which will be used for commercial use, providing the area with more than 1,500 square meters of commercial spaces.
So far the works of demolition, cleaning, fencing and connection with the sanitation networks have been executed.
These last works were carried out during the summer months in order to minimize the inconvenience to the neighbors.
According to the forecasts, the works will be completed at the beginning of 2021, since the construction works will be combined with the urbanization works.
