The municipal archeologist, Carmen Martínez, the director of the San Esteban archaeological intervention, Jorge Eiroa and the Councilor for Sustainable Mobility and Youth, Rebeca Pérez, have made an inspection visit to the San Esteban site where archaeologists have confirmed that they are In good condition after the rains.
During the DANA, the bilge pumps that the reservoir has installed in different sectors have evacuated the areas where the water has stagnated, mainly the courtyards of the houses and the great low-medieval sweepers.
In addition, thanks to the placement of another pump, the water accumulated in the courtyard of the enclosure I with another pump and in the central area is being eliminated.
According to archaeologists who have visited the site continuously these days, the consolidation action completed in April of this year contemplated that the structures were discovered for a while and have received rains well.
Interior, exterior walls, floors and other structures have resisted well and in the next few days the site will recover its usual appearance.
There has only been a small collapse of a side wall that will recover over the next few weeks thanks to the work of two restorers.
