More than 75,000 students in the municipality begin school.
The Councilor for Education and Infantile Schools, Belén López, has attended this morning at the beginning of the 2019/2020 school year at Narciso Yepes school in Murcia, together with the Minister of Education and Culture, Esperanza Moreno.
A total of 182 children of Infant and Primary have started today the course in this center of Murcia, whose educational project is focused on working together through the different artistic disciplines.
In this way, these students have returned today to the classrooms with a lot of energy, specifically to the rhythm of rock with the music of the ACDC band.
And it is that throughout the year, this school works the different styles so that the children know different authors, listen to types of music, thus learning languages ​​and culture of other countries.
“Today is a day of nerves for those students who begin their school stage and also of excitement for those who are reunited with their friends and pass class,†says Belén López.
The councilor wanted to remember the work of the teachers at this beginning of the course, "because their work, dedication and effort are key to the future of our students, both for those who change the stage and for those who begin their first learning."
The councilor has toured the center and has visited the 6th grade class where students were writing the purposes for the next course: not run through the halls, recycle, attend in class and read more, among others.
187 centers in the municipality
The total school population of the municipality is composed of about 75,490 students aged 3 to 18, who study in the 187 centers of the municipality.
Of these, 116 are public centers for early childhood education, primary education or special education;
25 are public centers of Secondary Education, FP and Baccalaureate;
44 schools and 2 private schools.
Today the classes of the Infant and Primary begin, but the next day 13 will begin the course the students of Secondary.

The students of Murcia of Infant, Primary, Secondary and Baccalaureate, between 3 and 18 years, will be able to enjoy this course of a total of 97 activities, within the program # MurciaMiCiudadEnseña.
Cultural outings, guided tours, children's shows, workshops and seminars are some of the activities offered to schools.
Registration is done through the murciaeducadora.net website and the registration period will be from September 10 to 20 for Infant and Primary Education and from September 19 to 30, 2019 for Secondary and Baccalaureate.
