The Governing Board has approved the award of improvement works in three districts of the municipality.
Thus, next month the construction works for changing rooms, lawn and enclosure will begin in the soccer fields of Los Ramos and San José de la Vega, and repair of facilities at the Santa Cruz Sports Center.
The project in Los Ramos and San José de la Vega contemplates the construction of a football field with artificial football turf 11 and 2 transversal soccer fields 8 in addition to new changing rooms and new irrigation, sanitation and lighting facilities for the playing field.
In this way, a lawn with a cushion pad will be used, which has a greater durability, capacity to absorb impacts and help to take care of the health of the users of the sports floor among other advantages.
In addition, advantages are also obtained by the use of cork over conventional granulated rubber filling.
Among others, the lower heating of the field, drains moisture, has no smell, is not compacted, nor is it flammable and has a great capacity for impact absorption.
Likewise, they will lack microorganisms and will be more ecological, since cork is a natural product, it is not toxic and biodegradable.
The improvement of the perimeter enclosure of these sports areas will also be carried out.
The works of the new installation of Los Ramos will be executed by Servimar 2008 SL for 539,588 euros, while the works of San José de la Vega will be carried out by Servimar 2008 for 416,758 euros.
In both cases the execution period is 6 months.
Both actions are part of the Improvement Plan of the Municipal Soccer Fields, composed of a total of 42 facilities, which thousands of players from the various Soccer Schools and teams of the municipality pass daily.
As for the repair works of the facilities of the Santa Cruz sports center, they will consist of the paving of the indoor soccer field that will be carried out with a slight transverse slope to collect the drainage water in the new conduction that will be installed for this purpose.
In addition, some superficial fissures of the tennis and basketball courts will be repaired and the slope of the common area will be elevated next to the entrance to the sports grounds to match that of the tennis and basketball court, so that the current risk of injuries due to the difference in level.
Likewise, all the internal wiring of the four lighting towers that illuminate the football field with projectors will be replaced.
The deadline for the execution of the works, which Sinboria SL will carry out, is three months and the investment amounts to 98,391 euros.
The project is part of the Extraordinary Investment Plan in Pedanías, which coordinates the Department of Pedanías y Barrios, which is directed by Marco Antonio Fernández.
