The Governing Board has given its approval to the adjudication of the works of the new Corvera Fairgrounds, which will allow these facilities to occupy a municipal plot with an approximate surface area of 5,700 m2 before the summer of 2020.
Its location, very close to the center of the village, will facilitate the celebration of popular events, such as fairs, sector conferences, parties, business and social activities, as well as concerts and cultural events.
In addition, the perimeter fence of the large esplanade where it is located will allow, on the one hand, the installation of booths, attractions, stands and different types of eventual infrastructure, and, on the other hand, a covered area of 450 m2 with a height will be enabled up to 9 meters, which will also enable the installation of other equipment.
The access to the plot is made by the Finca El Villar road, where the sidewalk will be paved to allow pedestrian traffic to the enclosure formed by a porch 4 m high and 8 m wide that will have the inscription "Fairground" with metallic letters, illuminated with LED technology.
Its construction, whose expected execution period is six months, will improve the leisure offer of the population and contribute to the promotion of the local economy through the realization of gastronomic exhibitions, trade fairs and employer parties in an enclosure designed specifically for such purpose
The project responds to a claim from the residents of Corvera and the set of towns that make up the Murcia Field (Baños y Mendigo, Lobosillo, Valladolises, La Murta, Los Martínez del Puerto, Avileses, Gea and Truyols and Sucina).
On the other hand, the location of the enclosure, close to the intersection between the roads of Fuente Álamo (RM - 601) and that of Los Martínez del Puerto, guarantees its optimal accessibility.
The works will be carried out by the company Diversified Group with an investment of 238,345 euros and within a period of six months.
This project is part of the Extraordinary Investment Plan in Pedanías, which coordinates the Department of Pedanías y Barrios, which is directed by Marco Antonio Fernández.
