The I International Festival 'Trovando por Murcia' will be one of the novelties of the Murcia Fair 2019. Next Thursday, September 12, starting at 10 p.m. and with free access, the Plaza de los Apóstoles will host this initiative organized by the Trovera association José Travel Montoya 'El Repuntín' and the trovero group 'El Patiñero' and which aims to unite the sudden popular poetry of Spanish-speaking countries.
The Councilor for Culture and Heritage Recovery, Jesús Pacheco, explained that "as in all editions of our parties, we incorporate news into the program in order to increase its quality and reach all audiences. On this occasion, we combine the novelty with tradition and we give special prominence to the music of the trovo, intangible cultural heritage that is transmitted from generation to generation. "
In total there will be 11 troveros from Colombia, Cuba and Spain that will perform in the contest accompanied by Tomás García and Antonio Micol, both students of the Superior Conservatory of Music of Murcia and the Professional Conservatory of Music of Cartagena.
The gala will be presented by Encarna Talavera and Juan Tomás Frutos
This evening trovera will begin with the presentation of the participants of the
Act and then proceed to the care between the different troveros, who will debate using the octosyllable verse and the consonant rhyme.
To execute it they will use the most typical stanzas of the Spanish lyric, such as the quintilla, quartet, round or tenth-spinel.
From Colombia, the experienced improvisers will arrive Carlos Alberto Tamayo 'El Canario' and Carlos Alberto Arias 'El Águila', while from Cuba the artist José Antonio Roche García will participate.
The poster will be completed by the Yapci Bienes Pérez troveros of the Canary Islands;
Juan Santos "El Baranda" of Cartagena;
Pedro José Sánchez 'El Alcazareño' of La Unión;
Pedro Jesús Salmerón 'Salmerón' of La Unión;
Antonio Guerrero 'El Andaluz' from Lorca;
Pedro López 'El Cardoso I' and Pedro López 'El Cardoso II' of Sangonera La Verde;
Alejandro Miñano 'Niño de Archena' from Archena and Francisco Javier Nicolás 'El Floristero', a native of Patiño.
The poster of this first edition has been the work of Murcian painter José María Falgas and it represents the emblematic Paseo del Malecón and the tower of the Cathedral of Murcia.
During the festival the artist will receive the Gold Medal of the Festival.
