Murcia has lived one of its most intense summers with an extensive program of activities.
More than 28,700 people have attended the different cultural proposals of 'Murcia in summer' whose programming has been extended from June 27 to August 29.
Councilor Jesús Pacheco, explained that "these figures encourage us to continue working on the organization of activities during holiday periods, exceeding this cultural and leisure cycle in future editions, which has offered more than a hundred artistic, musical and sports activities" .
Thus, shows have been held almost daily in about thirty natural sites and enclaves offering music, cinema, painting, exhibitions, cultural courses, folklore and sport, thanks to the collaboration between the Department of Culture and Recovery of Heritage, of Sustainable Mobility and Youth and Sports and Health.
The concerts of groups that have participated in the CreaMurcia of 'Los Jueves + Young' have been attended by more than 2,000 people, while the concerts of 'Night with stars' and 'Family cinema' have been attended by 9,500 people.
As for the outdoor painting classes, held in the Palm Grove of Santiago and Zaraíche, Monteagudo, Jardín de Floridablanca, River Walk and roof of the building attached to the City Hall, 115 people have attended since the capacity was limited.
The Artistic Laboratory of Carmen has also hosted activities such as watercolor, micropoetry, printing and micro-story workshops, with the attendance of almost a hundred people.
More than 10,000 people enjoyed the five concerts of the new cycle 'Las Noches del Malecón' while 7,000 attended the activities of the 52 Mediterranean Folklore Festival that took place in the middle of July in different streets and squares of the town center.
In addition, Murcia museums have hosted different activities such as exhibitions, guided tours, courses, children's and youth workshops and on Tuesdays sports activities such as aerobics, yoga with children, Latin rhythms, Pilates, family aerobics in different gardens as well as entertainment have been held and entertainment in the summer pools of Corvera, Puente Tocinos, El Raal, El Palmar, Alquerías, Sangonera la Verde, Sangonera la Seca, La Ñora, Aljucer, Espinardo and Rincón de Seca.
