The Department of Employment, Economic Promotion and Tourism, directed by Pedro José García Rex, has received a grant of 74,421 euros from the SEF that will be used to hire four unemployed young people for 6 months, specifically a local development support technician , an administrative, a computer technician and an administrative assistant.
The destination of these workers will be the Employment Service and they will participate in the Improvement Project of the Electronic / Digital Logistics Services of the Municipal Training and Employment Services for the Optimization of the Responses to the Demands of the Local Labor Market.
An initiative that the City Council approved in the Government Board in May of this year.
The selection of candidates will be carried out by the SEF in September through its employment offices, at the request of the City Council and in accordance with the bases of the call for grants.
The purpose of the Local Public Employment Program is to acquire work experience and improve the employability of unemployed persons registered in the Employment Offices, as well as the promotion of activity in those sectors of local scope in which new needs are detected .
This project will be carried out by subsidizing the labor costs of hiring workers for the execution of works or services of general and social interest.
Pedro José García Rex, through the Employment Service he directs, pursues with this initiative to strengthen and support the citizens and businesses of the municipality in the process of integration in the electronic administration of municipal guidance, training and employment services.
The mayor affirms that "the program is a great opportunity for the young people selected to gain work experience in the line we have set, to improve occupability and promote quality employment"
