The execution of this project will avoid traffic jams in the mini roundabout between the entrance to the university city and the exit to the Madrid highway from the M-30 and that thousands of vehicles have to reach this entrance to access the industrial estates from the area, to the urbanization of Los Rectores and the shopping center located at that point

The Department of Public Works led by Mario Gómez has unlocked the execution of the work of the roundabout to access the Espinardo Campus, at the confluence of the Madrid highway with Severo Ochoa Avenue.

A work very demanded by the educational community that will avoid traffic jams that occur at certain times of the day in the mini roundabout located between the entrance to the university city and the exit to the Madrid highway from the M-30 and that thousands of vehicles have to reach this entrance to access the industrial estates of the area, the urbanization of Los Rectores and the commercial center located at that point.

After holding a meeting with the Vice-Rectorate for Infrastructure Planning of the UMU, the Councilor for Development has pledged to expedite the procedures so that this work begins as soon as possible so as not to cause damage to the students and users of this entry.

Other topics addressed during this meeting have been the improvement of all accesses in the area of ​​the Espinardo Campus, the execution of a pedestrian entrance and a bike lane, the correction of certain incidents in the works of the Science Campus of the Health, the extension of the transfer of the plot located in the Montevida urbanization for the expansion of the Campus, the speeding up of various administrative procedures, as well as the improvement of cleanliness and safety in the area.

The person in charge of Development will give effect to all these demands so that, in coordination with the other areas of the councils involved, the issues that concern the educational community and improve the quality of life of Murcia begin to be resolved.
