Parks and Gardens has begun planting 2,000 pink begonias, 2,000 red lattices and 8,500 zinnias in the Plaza de la Glorieta.
These actions are being carried out throughout the municipality of Murcia, both in districts and in various parts of the city, such as in the San Francisco, Santo Domingo, Plaza Camachos and Condestable levels.
"During the holiday season, a more intensive and special plantation is done so that the neighbors can enjoy green areas and outdoor spaces with more life and color", highlights the Councilor for Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, José Guillén.
More than 80,000 flowers of numerous varieties will fill the city of Murcia with color on the occasion of the September festivities.
The Councilor for Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, José Guillén, has visited today the beginning of the replacement of plants in the Plaza de la Glorieta.
Specifically, in this space the planting of a total of 2,000 pink begonias, 2,000 red lattices and 8,500 zinnias of various colors will be carried out.
“As it has been a tradition for the City Council, during the holiday season there is a more intensive and special plantation.
In this way, the neighbors enjoy green areas and outdoor spaces with more life and color â€, highlights the Councilor for Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, José Guillén.
Parks and Gardens, through the concessionary company STV Gestión, is responsible for this work throughout the municipality of Murcia, both in districts and in the city, as in the San Francisco, Santo Domingo, Plaza Camachos and Condestable.
In addition to the spaces where they are already planted, these are Floridablanca, Malecón, Salitre and Huerto Ferrer.
In total, thousands of copies will be placed, among which we can highlight tagetes, lattices, elegant zinia, royal red lattice, begonia dragons, gypsies and vincas.
The technicians will also replace more than 100 trees and almost a thousand bushes.
"These actions are part of the work of the City Council to improve and maintain our green areas, especially on dates such as the September holidays that our streets take with people," said the councilor.
