The Department of Commerce and the Murcia Commercial Area Federation (Femuac) continue to work together to promote associations and the sector in the municipality.
"Strengthening trade through a majority Federation does not admit delays, so we need a powerful Trade Federation that represents merchants and defends their interests," said the mayor of Commerce, Markets and Public Way, Juan Fernando Hernández.
The purpose of the work that they have been developing since last June is that the Federation brings together the largest possible number of associations of merchants and thus propose common strategies and actions that will boost the sector throughout the municipality and generate synergies.
Likewise, the councilor of Commerce has transferred to the president of Femuac, Santiago Vera, the main strategic lines of his department, among which are the professionalization and digitalization of the sector that will begin to be developed from October.
For his part, the president of Femuac has informed that they have been working with the Commerce service since June - the month in which the first contacts were initiated - on the structure and the means necessary to address the important objectives that the Department proposes to them and is committed to the Federation serving as a catalyst for initiatives and projects that address the transformation of trade.
Also, Vera has stressed that the number of members of Femuac continues to increase since the new Councilor for Commerce maintained a first round of contacts with all merchant associations.
"In October we will close this first phase of federative growth and it will be thereafter that we begin to develop the strategic lines of the Department, for which we also want to count on the University of Murcia, specifically with the Asomada Observatory", the Trade manager.
