The City Council, through the Department of Sustainable Mobility and Youth, directed by Rebeca Pérez, maintains, once again, the commitment to the Secondary Education Institutes of the municipality.
Thanks to this call, about 25,000 schoolchildren from the 27 participating institutes will be able to carry out extracurricular activities throughout the next course.
"Our goal is that the youth of the municipality have a quality education in the institutes. Extracurricular activities are a complement that promotes social and civic values, the approach to associations of their closest environment and a way to channel the expression creative of young people. From the City Council we understand that they are fundamental for their physical and psychological development "said Rebeca Pérez.
The total municipal funds for grants is 110,000 euros and the deadline for submitting projects will be until September 30.
The programmed activities must respond to the demand of the students of the institute, as direct beneficiaries of the extracurricular programming.
Thus, training and / or informational activities that respond to the objectives of integration and tolerance, gender equality, school violence, environmental education, health education and appropriate use of social networks will be subsidized.
The eligible workshops and training courses must be related to the following disciplines:
- Performing Arts
- Visual arts
- Plastic arts
- Chess
- Comic
- Music
- Literature
- Crafts
- Design
- New technologies
Inter-center and interrelation activities with the environment will also be financed, that is, those carried out in collaboration with other centers on the aforementioned topics, or of a novel and experimental nature;
as well as those that are carried out jointly with entities or associations of the area of ​​the institute.
