The Councilor for Development, Mario Gomez, and the president of the Business Association of the West Murcia Business Park (ASEPIO), Antonio Castillo, have held a meeting to address the implementation of a comprehensive action plan for the progressive renovation of infrastructure and to improve the security of the West Industrial Estate.
For Mario Gómez, "it is essential to conceive the logistic, industrial and business centers as sources of development and wealth of our municipality, which is why it is a duty of any government to maintain every one of the municipal infrastructure and services in decent conditions."
For his part, the president of ASEPIO has transferred to the person in charge of Development a series of already historical and other claims, which not being so old, cause serious damage to the companies in the area.
They have also talked about the need to sign the agreement that allows certain services of the polygon to be kept in minimum conditions because, as it has been transmitted to it, the one for this year has not yet been signed nor have they received the aid corresponding to the 2018 exercise.
The mayor of Development has recalled how the municipalities stopped maintaining these urban areas with the excuse of the economic crisis, which caused many of these spaces to be abandoned, forcing companies to close their doors and empty their industrial buildings.
"The administrations have the obligation to gradually recover the polygons, if the businessmen are doing it, we must help them," said Gomez.
Paved streets
Therefore, from the Department of Development will continue betting on the enhancement of the West Industrial Estate starting with a second asphalting phase of the streets Juan de la Cierva and Belluga Cardinal, among others;
as well as for the recovery of spaces for parking of vehicles, of necessary infrastructures and for an improvement of the security in the zone.
Coordination between councilors
In that sense, the mayor of Development aims to coordinate this comprehensive action plan with the councilors responsible for the different areas for the renewal of lighting, maintenance of green areas, the creation of an Employment Fair, adaptation of ordinances or creation of a second opportunity Business Incubator.
Joint solutions
Finally, the Department of Development has requested a meeting with the mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, to propose joint solutions that should be addressed from the two administrations, as occurs with asphalting in the bordering street of both municipalities or the construction of a roundabout at the junction with the main avenue of the Polygon for the elimination of the only black point in the industrial zone, where unwanted accidents still occur.
