The Councilor for Culture and Heritage Recovery, Jesús Pacheco, today chaired the constitution meeting of the new Ramón Gaya Board of Trustees in which, in addition to appointing the new members of the public party for the 2019-2023 exercise, some of the actions of the Foundation, such as the realization of a conference in the Prado Museum on the figure of the Murcian painter.

In this way, the members assigned by the political groups join the Foundation, chaired by the mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta.

Thus, the employer is constituted as follows: Jesús Pacheco Méndez (PP), Enrique Lorca Romero (PSOE), Pedro García Rex (Citizens), José Ángel Antelo Paredes (Vox) and Clara María Martínez Baeza (Podemos).

Also, during the meeting the draft budget of this autonomous body for 2019 amounting to 471,514 euros was approved.

From now on - Jesus Pacheco explains - the game will be presented at the next Governing Board.

On the new actions of the Foundation, the mayor has highlighted a symposium to be held in October at the Museo Nacional del Prado on the figure of Ramón Gaya.

In addition, it has dealt with the need to provide the museum with an artistic director.

"We continue working with new projects to give more visibility and knowledge to the Murcian painter outside our Region," said Councilman Jesus Pacheco.
