The Councilor for Education and Infantile Schools, Belén López, presents the # MurciaMiCiudadEnseña program for the 2019/2020 academic year with 97 activities aimed at Infant, Secondary School and High School.
More theater, new urban routes and visits to natural spaces, healthy workshops and cinema are some of the novelties offered this year.
The Councilor for Education and Kindergartens, Belén López Cambronero, today presented the # MurciaMiCiudadEnseña program, the 2019/2020 Educational Offer of the City Council for 75,490 students, between 3 and 18 years old, of Infant, Primary, Secondary and Baccalaureate.
Cultural outings, guided tours, children's shows, workshops and seminars comprise this program that is offered to 186 educational centers in the municipality, of which 124 correspond to districts and 62 to the town center.
# MurciaMiciudadEnseña encompasses 97 activities, organized by educational levels and classified into seven thematic blocks: Performing Arts, Historical-Artistic Heritage, Scientific Heritage, Natural Heritage, Traditional Heritage, Knowing services-creating consciences and Making Citizenship.
“The cultural and historical wealth of the Municipality, its artistic and traditional heritage, the museum offer and the cultural centers, as well as the immense human capital that we have are condensed in this program that overcomes the physical barriers of the classrooms to enter the heart of the city, â€says Belén López.
The offer will be available to teachers from September 2 on the website murciaeducadora.net.
The registration period for schools will be from September 10 to 20, for Infant and Primary Education, from September 19 to 30, 2019, for Secondary and Baccalaureate.
"It has taken into account the population of the 2018/2019 school year and the number of activities awarded in order to cover all educational levels," explains the mayor of Education, who clarifies that when they exceed the value of enrolled schoolchildren It is because, extraordinarily, two activities are awarded to the same group, as is the case of the Road Education contest.
“It is a complete and varied program so that our students can access the possibilities and learning opportunities offered by our city.
In this way, Murcia becomes an educational resource â€, highlights the Councilor for Education and Infantile Schools.
Of the 97 activities, 27 have a cost to the City Council (Environmental Education, first aid workshops, troveros, Huertana traditions, El Palmeral, workshops of coexistence and equality, plays and concert of La Paz) and 70 are free, thanks to municipal services, public and private entities and groups.
In short, as the mayor points out, “it is about developing activities and support materials that contribute to the knowledge of our Heritage, promoting its conservation and valuation, as well as disseminating knowledge of services, performing arts and raising awareness as citizens†.
