On May 19, 1266 Alfonso X granted the city of Murcia "the holding of an annual fair of 15 days from San Miguel, ensuring the free movement of neighbors and residents, both Moors and Christians or Jews."
José Ballesta: "We wanted to commemorate the figure of King Wise, the man who gave his heart to Murcia and granted his own government to the city, with a sign that reflects the historical roots of our Fair, with an innovative and avant-garde style."
The 2019 Fair will begin on September 5, with the descent of the Virgen de la Fuensanta, and will continue until the 17th.

La capital de la Región se convertirá durante estos 13 días en “un hervidero de alegría y participación con espectáculos musicales y artísticos, degustaciones gastronómicas, desfiles, entretenimiento infantil, actividades deportivas y eventos de ocio para todas las edadesâ€, adelantó el primer edil.
El río y la avenida Alfonso X, ejes principales
La Feria tendrá como principales escenarios de las novedades de este año los ejes conformados por el río, con el itinerario formado desde los Huertos y hacia el Malecón, y la Avenida Alfonso X El Sabio, además de los escenarios tradicionales en distintas calles y plazas emblemáticas de la ciudad.
