The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, and the Minister of Development and Infrastructure, José Ramón Díez de Revenga, visited today the works of the diversions of municipal water networks from the underground of the AVE.
Specifically, they visited the confluence collector located next to the Tiñosa bridge.
José Ballesta explained that “in this confluence collector of almost 10 meters deep and more than 800m3 capacity, the two large North and South collectors will join along the entire railroad track at their entrance to Murcia, which have had to be diverted to facilitate underground burial â€.

The works in the water network that remain pending will be resumed as soon as Adif authorizes the corresponding expense.
In this sense, the mayor of Murcia stressed that "our goal is that these works are executed as quickly as possible so that there is no interference with the underground, but for this it is necessary that Adif authorizes that expense."
Likewise, José Ballesta indicated that “the works of the underground must continue advancing and our determination is to continue the works of the deviations of the water network immediatelyâ€.

The execution of the North Collector gave way to the underground
A milestone in the diversion of the hydraulic infrastructure network was decisive for the start of the underground works: the works of the North Collector, which the City Council has already executed and were key for the work to begin.
The performance, of great technical complexity, covered an area of ​​more than 1.5 kilometers, between Senda de los Garres and Torre de Romo.
