The faculties of Chemistry and Economics and Business of the University of Murcia have successfully passed the evaluation of their quality systems after the examination carried out by the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA).
Both faculties voluntarily submitted to the Audit certification program, which evaluates the systems that university centers have to control their management in areas such as mobility, student practices, academic management, job placement, teaching, etc.
Obtaining Audit certification means having an extra seal of guarantee of the quality of your services.
The Faculty of Informatics, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Faculty of Biology also have this recognition at the University of Murcia.
In addition to being a seal of quality in itself, the Audit certification simplifies and speeds up the accreditation of its official titles.
The accreditation of qualifications to assess their quality is based on a complex procedure carried out by ANECA and to which undergraduate studies are submitted every six years (they can be seven or eight years depending on the number of credits of the curriculum);
while for the masters it must be done every four years and for the doctoral programs the established periodicity is six years.
The other great advantage of having the Audit accreditation, after the approval of a resolution developed by Royal Decree 420/2015, is the establishment of the procedure for the faculties and centers of Spanish universities to obtain the Institutional Accreditation;
a seal of global quality that implies the automatic accreditation of all its official studies.
Only those with the Audit certification can qualify for this Institutional Accreditation.
The Faculties of Informatics, Biology and Veterinary Medicine have achieved this institutional accreditation and the two centers that have just obtained the Audit certificate will begin the process to obtain it next year.
