The Department of Education and Kindergartens has installed an information tent in Algezares to publicize in detail the current situation of the San Roque Infant School and to ensure that these educational facilities will remain in the district.
The neighbors and interested parties can inform themselves in these tents the following days:
Monday 29 from 9 to 12 hours in the weekly market and from 18 to 21 hours in the auditorium garden
Tuesday 30 from 9 to 12 hours at the door of a nursery school and health center and from 18 to 21 in Paseo Monasterio d La Luz
Wednesday 31 from 9 to 12 hours in the nursery school and health center and from 18 to 21 in the garden of the senior center
In this way, next week a letter will be distributed in which the following aspects related to the School of San Roque de Algezares are collected:
1.- The San Roque Infant School does not move from Algezares:
Algezares is one of the 6 districts of the municipality that have Infant School.
It is serving the residents of this district for more than 40 years and so it will remain for at least 40 years.
2.- The Department has already included a game of 685,000 euros in the draft budget of the City Council for the Infant School to continue in Algezares.
Although this situation occurred just a few weeks ago, the Department has already included in the draft of budgets of 2019 of the City of Murcia, a game of 685,000 euros for the School to stay in Algezares.
"It has been a great effort, since this amount is six times higher than the total budget of the Department for the maintenance of Infant Schools," said Lopez Cambronero.
3.- The provisional placement of the School during the duration of the works will be decided together with the fathers and mothers and the professionals of the Infant School.
The Department is acting from the outset with maximum diligence and transparency, looking for the best solutions, both long and short term, keeping AMPA and the professionals of the School continuously informed.
After the provisional closure of the school on June 20, the technical study was commissioned immediately.
On June 25, a meeting was held with the members of the AMPA to report on the situation.
After receiving the technical report on July 8, all families were summoned on the 10th to an informational meeting.
"Since then we are conducting personalized interviews with all fathers and mothers to collect all the proposals and assess the different options and the technicians of the Department are assessing different solutions for further study with families and professionals of the School," he said the councilwoman
In addition to the transfer to El Palmar Infant School, with a door-to-door transport service, the possibility of creating a modular installation, which would involve a rent of almost 100,000 euros, which would offer 20 differentiated spaces since the classrooms has been studied we must add the toilets, the dining room, the offices, a laundry, the changing room, the crib room and the stores.
Likewise, the technicians have visited some existing free classrooms at the Saavedra Fajardo school and are currently awaiting a technical report that establishes whether these facilities are viable to host a Nursery School.
4.- The provisional location of the school must guarantee the learning, safety and well-being of children.
"A nursery school must meet technical requirements that guarantee a safe and adequate environment for the learning and well-being of children, essential to have the administrative authorization of the Ministry of Education. Any proposal made must comply with current regulations and have the approval of the technicians "explained López Cambronero.
5.- This situation has caused inconvenience to families who want to minimize from the City Council.
"We are aware that this situation causes interference in all parties involved, children, families, professionals of the School and City Hall. We are convinced that together we will adopt the best solutions and that the Infant School of San Roque will continue to be a benchmark in the education of children in Algezares and its surroundings for many years, "said López Cambronero.
The councilor has indicated that "our claim is to make a joint decision with the parents of the children. From the first moment we are worried and busy in this matter and we will not rest until we find the best solution so that the little ones can begin the course next September 9 ".
It should be remembered that at the beginning of June different tastings were carried out in the building of the San Roque Infant School that determined that the damages in the structure are serious and that prevent the safety of children and teachers.
