The Councilor for Culture and Heritage Recovery, Jesús Pacheco, has visited this morning the works of the new cultural center and library of Beniaján.
The new building, located on one floor, has two areas for library and Cultural Center, and a common service area such as an auditorium, which has been designed with flat floor and mobile furniture so that it can be used alternatively as multipurpose room, and a public space for outdoor activities.
Jesús Pacheco has explained that "the works are practically finished, it is only necessary to equip the center whose financing is reflected in the budgets of 2019".
The Cultural Center will have three classrooms perfectly equipped with incorporation of data system and external communication, a dance hall with advanced features and will frequently use the auditorium for the programming of shows and other social and cultural contingencies.
The library will have a newspaper library area with independent access from public roads and a 24-hour study room.
It will also have a detained reading room, youth, adult and children and a media library.
The total area amounts to 1,942'05 m2, of which 575 are destined for the cultural center, 808 for the library and the rest for the auditorium, exhibition hall and general hall.
The City Council has invested in these works more than 1,173,000 euros
