The schools Nuestra Señora de La Paz and María Maroto already have their sports facilities ready for the new school year, which begins next September.
The Department of Sports and Health, in collaboration with the Department of Education and Nursery Schools, has taken advantage of the summer to improve facilities for sports.
The work consisted in the renovation of its spaces by means of anti-slip paint treatment and painting of lines of play.
Specifically, the CEIP Nuestra Señora de la Paz has improved a red track, 650m2, which houses two fields of minibasket and one futsal, and another green, 800 m2, for futsal.
The Department developed the same work in the CEIP María Maroto on a red track, 800 m2, intended for the practice of futsal.
The Councilor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, highlights "the importance of maintaining and adapting these spaces to the service of the school community, encouraging also the practice of physical exercise and ensuring a healthy life.
These renovation works have been carried out during the summer holidays, taking advantage of the absence of activity of the educational centers ".
