The Councilor for Education and Nursery Schools, Belén López Cambronero has presented the Summer Works Plan in educational centers that is currently being developed both in the urban area and in districts, and which includes both the repair work of these facilities and the installation of Shade pergolas in the courtyards.

The investment budget in these interventions amounted to 708,029 euros, and all projects were presented to the presidents of municipal boards and AMPAS, school directors and representatives of school boards.

The councilor explained that "with these works we seek to repair, condition or improve elements of buildings that, due to their use and age, are currently deteriorated, in order to offer better facilities for all the educational community. end coinciding with the summer holidays and thus takes advantage of the absence of activity to carry out repairs without disturbing the teaching activity ".

The works to improve the educational facilities, represent an investment of 627,905 euros and are running in 14 centers:

- CEIP N.ª S.ª of Las Lágrimas, by Cabezo de Torres (€ 39,869.94)

To these works must be added those that are being made to provide shadows to the courtyards of schools in order to mitigate the effects of heat.

For this reason, covers will be installed in these spaces that impede the entry of rainwater and provide shade in such a way that it can be used every day of the year.

These pergolas and awnings, in which 80,124 euros have been invested, are being installed in the following centers:

Large repairs affect both the interior and exterior of the facilities and, in general, consist of painting, masonry, windows, pavements, water and sanitation, cracks and improvement of the carpentry, as well as the replacement and waterproofing of covers, repairs and integral replacement of toilets, improvement of pavement drains in courtyards, paintings of facades and interiors of the enclosures and buildings, as well as the replacement of fences and repair of heating installations.

Thus, at the CEIP Our Lady of Las Lágrimas, by Cabezo de Torres, the toilet in the courtyard of building C will be renovated and a deteriorated sanitation pipeline will be replaced in the center.

In the CEIP José M.ª Párraga, of El Palmar, work is being done on the replacement of concrete paving in the old ditch of the patio and of sliding windows, in the repair of the access floor to the school, in the partial performance in painting of the access wall to the center with previous repairs, in the repair of concrete seen in porch pillars and in small repairs of masonry, tiling, locksmith, painting and plumbing with replacement of deteriorated elements.

The works of the CEIP Ciudad La Paz, in El Palmar, consist of the reform of the ground floor toilets, the replacement of water supply pipes in the main building, repairs of masonry, woodwork and plumbing, and painting and repairs of concrete. and deteriorated sidewalks outdoors.

In addition, in the children's building the step and pavement of access to the pavilion will be repaired.

As for the CEIP Virgen de la Fuensanta, in La Alberca, refurbishment work will be carried out on the toilets of the dining room and the children's building, while in the CEIP Virgen del Rosario, in La Cueva de Monteagudo, the male and female toilets will be renovated. of the patio and the walls of common areas will be painted.

At the CEIP Nuestra Señora del Paso, in La Ñora, the toilet-dressing room will be reformed, repairs will be made to walls, pavements and fences of courtyards and an adapted cabin will be created.

The works in the CEIP Juan Carlos I, Llano de Brujas, involve the reform of male toilets in the courtyard, the replacement of gutters and improvement of storm drainage and repairs of paint in classrooms affected by leaks.

In the CEIP Professor Enrique Tierno, from Lobosillo, work is being done on the replacement of waterproofing on roofs, on carpentry repairs, on specific paint treatments and on the reform of the glazing of the stairs.

On the other hand, in the CEIP Narciso Yepes, of Murcia, repairs of paving of patio are made, repairs of cover with replacement of waterproof sheet and the installation of life line in the zone of action.

The works in the CEIP María Maroto, Murcia, consist of the reform of the B-18 and male B-19 toilets on the ground floor and the replacement of the pavement of the access corridor to the ground floor toilets.

At the CEIP Mariano Aroca, in Murcia, the paving of the patio will be repaired, the roof will be replaced with replacement of waterproofing sheet and a lifeline will be installed in the action area.

On the other hand in the CEIP San Pablo, Murcia, work on the reform of the female toilets of the courtyard and the replacement of the sanitation network of the main building, while in the CEIP Ramón Gaya, Puente Bacons, will be repaired the deteriorated girders in sanitary forge.

Finally, at the CEIP Ángel Zapata, in Torreagüera, we will proceed to the reform of two children's toilets, the replacement of rain gutters and improvement of rainwater evacuation, to small repairs of carpentry and painting in classrooms and to the punctual paving of the patio .

In addition to these repairs that are carried out in summer, the rehabilitation programs of the educational centers attend to the daily necessities of the educational community, giving a response -the 365 days of the year- to the incidents that occur.
