The Contracting Committee, chaired by the Councilor for Development, Mario Gomez, and which has been attended by the Councilor for Citizen Security and Economic Management, Eduardo Martínez-Oliva, has studied in his session this morning the technical proposals of the 10 tenderers for the rehabilitation and putting into use of phase 1 of the building of the former provincial prison of Murcia.

The amount of the tender is 1,735,537 euros and the bidders are the UTE Inteligente Inteligente and Tudmir;

Ferrovial Agromán SA;

Alberto Domínguez Blanco restoration of monuments SA;

UTE Orthem and Wenceslao García;

Pavasal;

Construction Workshop TMR SA, UTE Bluedec and ACSA;

UTE Azuhe 88 and Urdecon SA;

UTE Pegiro and Zima Desarrollos Integrales and Lorquimur SL.

The basic proposal will establish the homogeneity between the two phases: the first that affects the head of the building, and the second that includes the back of it.

It will be the winning project of the first prize of the ideas contest, 'Ethereal Walls' which serves as a basis for the drafting of the basic proposal of execution, which has a term of three months and which fundamentally tries to reveal the building to the city and connect it with it looking for the recovery of the building and the adjacent spaces, with a visual connection and real entrance to the existing patios and the creation of permeable elements that replace the enclosing wall.

The proposal includes skylights that provide luminosity, a reconstructed panopticon and a historical memory area where some of the existing cells are maintained.

Prima the eminently cultural uses, with a zone of workshops and establishes multipurpose uses, respecting the architecture of this building of first order.

On the other hand, the Contracting Committee has opened the administrative documentation submitted by two bidders for the supply of clothing in 2019 of the Local Police and 56 new agents for a bid amount of 304,000 euros.

Likewise, documentation has been requested to the company proposed for the execution and restoration of the monument to the Count of Floridablanca for an amount of 41,580 euros;

and the proposed winners to carry out the project of reconfiguration of the municipal optical fiber network that will entail a maximum investment of 413,231 euros.
