The Councilor for Social Rights and Family, Pilar Torres, has held a meeting with representatives of the Rasinet Federation (Social Support Network for Immigrants) to learn first-hand about their projects and the objectives of the different entities that comprise it, such as Columbares, Murcia Acoge, Association of Senegalese and the Federation of Neighborhood Associations.
In this meeting has been addressed as the main issue of the difficulty and obstacles to access housing for families with greater deficiencies so we will study the implementation of an awareness campaign for both owners of rental apartments and neighbors normalize the cohabitation and the social integration of these people.
"We want to value the importance of training and mediation with the community to facilitate integration processes and reduce the prejudices that we often face due to fear of the unknown," said the councilor.
In the next few days the study carried out by the Rasinet Federation on the housing situation of the tenant population in the municipality of Murcia will be presented.
This study is part of the activities carried out by the Rasinet Federation with the subsidy received from the Department of Social and Family Rights of the City of Murcia, amounting to 75,000 euros.
