The dual career model developed by the Catholic University of Murcia and the Spanish Olympic Committee continues to capture the interest of the academic and sports world internationally.
Two of the books published on this model have been included in the Olympic World Library.
In addition, one of them is prefaced by the presidents of the UCAM, José Luis Mendoza, and the Spanish Olympic Committee, Alejandro Blanco.
Both books are the result of the projection of this educational model promoted by the European Union, called 'ESTPORT', for its implementation in other European universities.
This model UCAM-COE, which allows the university training tutored and adapted to elite athletes, was also exhibited in the European Parliament and awarded in Laussana (Switzerland) by the 'European Athletics'.
The books have been prepared by the ARETÉ Research Group: 'Physical Education, Sport and Performance', of the School of Sports of the UCAM.
Project 'More than Gold'
In order to expand this proposal, another European project has been launched, 'More than Gold', which is also part of the Catholic University of Murcia, which aims to adapt Compulsory Secondary Education to dual career with athletes.
