The Councilor for Education and Nursery Schools, Belén López Cambronero, has held a meeting with the parents of the minors enrolled in the San Roque de Algezares Nursery School, in order that "they are the first to know, first hand and in a detailed, the progress of the structural studies of this building ".
These previous works have determined that the damages in the structure are important so that, in order to guarantee the safety of the children, it will not be possible to give service in the Infant School of San Roque at the beginning of the next academic year.
In this way, these children from 0 to 3 years old will be relocated to a space that meets the requirements and needs, located in El Palmar, which has good communication and which will be attended by the same teaching team following the quality standards of this School.
In addition an extended schedule will be established, which will be totally flexible, to minimize the damages caused
Likewise, members of the future Municipal Board, present at the meeting, have been asked to collaborate to implement actions that also minimize the inconvenience of moving the School, improving the daily life of these affected Algezares neighbors, such as school transport in a single closed door-to-door schedule.
Lopez Cambronero explained that "we wanted to transfer this information immediately to families once we have received the technical report, fulfilling our commitment to be aware of the situation"
