Huermur expects that the declaration file of the historic site of La Luz as an Asset of Cultural Interest is processed properly and on time, so that this important heritage of Murcia is properly protected.
The conservationist organization applauds that the Ministry of Culture is now promoting the procedure initiated by Huermur, despite the numerous obstacles placed by the General Directorate of Cultural Property when protection was requested.
The Association for the Conservation of the Garden and the Heritage of Murcia (Huermur) celebrates that the Ministry of Culture processed the file for the declaration of the complex of the Light as a Cultural Interest BIC with the category of Historic Site, following the requests of Huermur, aimed at ensuring that this important heritage of Murcia has the necessary legal protection, which was already introduced in the 90s, but that due to the lack of interest of the administration, the file expired.
In the same sense, Huermur hopes that this important procedure will come to fruition, and finally be declared BIC this area that has important archaeological remains and cultural assets that represent a fundamental piece in the history of Murcia and its garden.
