The Governing Board has given its approval to the awarding of the II Contest of amateur micro-stories 'Rails', organized by the Cultural Center El Carmen and whose theme had to be about the Barrio del Carmen.
This contest is organized within the program of 'Vías de letras, book station' that takes place every year to celebrate the Day of the Book and with the aim of promoting the literary creation and cultural promotion of Barrio del Carmen .
A total of 46 micro-stories were presented, of which the jury selected the first prize, the one titled 'End of the year', by José Raúl Clavero Bláquez, and as the second prize 'Así sí, tía' by María Mármol Valera.
The winner has obtained 300 euros and the second classified 200 euros.
The jury was formed by the writer Carmen Piqueras, the culture technician Mª José Planes García and the librarian Cecilia Sánchez Martínez.
