Yesterday afternoon the signing of the collaboration agreement between the University of Murcia, through the School of Legal Practice, and the Cartagena Bar Association for the delivery of the master's degree was held at the UMU's Rector's Office. Advocacy in Cartagena.
The signing was in charge of the Rector of the UMU José Luján and the Dean of the Bar Association of Cartagena Antonio Navarro Selfa, who were accompanied by Sonia Madrid, Vice-Chancellor of Studies of the UMU;
Miguel Ángel Pouget and José Manuel Cubillas, deputies of the Governing Board of the Bar Association;
Carmen García Pérez, Vice Dean of Economy, Infrastructure and Research of the Faculty of Law and María Ángeles Sánchez Jiménez, Director of the School of Legal Practice of the UMU.
The objective of the agreement is that students who have completed a law degree and wish to practice the profession of lawyer can complete their training through this Master of Law, enabling them to perform it, facilitating their follow-up to those residing in the region. from Cartagena.
The University of Murcia offers its academic structure and the management and issuance of the title, while the Bar Association of Cartagena undertakes to collaborate in the teaching and infrastructure work, being the venue that will host it.
An important part of the teachers must be practicing lawyers appointed by the School of Legal Practice at the proposal of the aforementioned College, and that belong to their collegial demarcation, to which teachers from the University of Murcia and other legal professionals will join in order to of being able to cover all the essential areas for an adequate learning of the profession.
The Illustrious Bar Association of Cartagena will also organize external internships, selecting offices, institutions or entities in which students can begin their professional skills.
This cooperation between the Faculty of Law of the University of Murcia and its School of Legal Practice with the Bar Association of Cartagena is a mutual cooperation with a common purpose: that these students can access a complete and quality training legal practical content.
