The mayor of the city, José Ballesta;

accompanied by the councilor of Social Rights and Family, Pilar Torres, the director of the Gmp Foundation, Francisco Fernández;

the artistic director of the festival, Javi Martín;

and the president of Assido Murcia, Juan Carlos Sánchez;

they made today delivery of 100% of the collection of the X Festival of Solidarity Magic 'Big Illusions' to ASSIDO.

A total of 49,480 euros for the start-up of a pioneering project for 190 children with Down syndrome, who will receive early care at home and participate in workshops.

José Ballesta said that "both the sponsors and the thousands of Murcia who have attended the magic shows must be very calm and know that every euro raised in this initiative has a very high social return and goes to the best cause that can go, such as is the one played by ASSIDO, which has been working since 1981 for the equal opportunities of all human beings. "

Throughout these ten years, the festival 'Great Illusions', promoted in an altruistic way by the Gmp Foundation, has benefited a total of 1.97 Murcia families, through 11 social projects through a contribution of 418,922 euros.

This has been possible thanks to the collaboration of a total of 48 sponsors and collaborators, as well as the more than 25,000 spectators who have attended the events that have starred 96 artists from around the world.
