Teatro Circo Murcia will host tomorrow the absolute premiere of 'Periplo' the new creation of La Aye cía and Teatro Atómico co-produced by the theaters of Murcia Circo-Romea.
The assembly will transform the layout of the stalls generating a new space with reduced capacity and can be seen on June 27 and 28 at 9 pm at the Circus Theater in Murcia.
The work addresses the challenge of migration from the perspective of what is hidden and unresolved, allowing an intimate and dramatic journey through poetic atmospheres in movement that place the audience in their own emotional journey.
This collective stage creation covers from the first round the world in 1519 to the current migratory processes.
During this research process interviews, questionnaires and an experiential workshop with migrated people were carried out, which allowed us to build the dramaturgical imaginary of the show.
With Susan Ríos and Fran Ros, as managers, producers and protagonists of the show and under the direction of Iván Rojas, Chilean actor and director based in Australia, the work is developed as a series of continuous, aesthetic and emotional images that tell us the story of a couple who, in order to face the harshness of their reality, decide to embark on a journey in search of a better life.
The artistic team is completed by Gabriel Almagro as assistant director, Norberto Gutiérrez in the creation of video and image and Emilio Manzano in lighting design.
'Periplo' has the support of Fundación Cepaim and has been included in the official program of the Commemoration of the V Centennial of the First World Tour.
The proposal of the show is enhanced by an exhibition about migrated people that seeks to sensitize and bring together an audience of cultural diversity and that will be inaugurated on the opening day.
