The works on the riverwalk 'Murcia River' face its final stretch and, throughout the first half of July, this new connection between the Manterola footbridge and the Alameda del Malecón, which extends over 22,000 m2 , will open to all Murcia.
Mayor José Ballesta visited the works today, which are progressing at a good pace, and noted that "this is one of the most emblematic actions of the transformation project 'Murcia Río', the largest river and leisure park in the municipality."
The City Council has already completed the construction of the new mota of the river and corresponding area to the new terrace on the Segura with flown structure has been completed and paved in its entirety.
The entire environment has handrails, street furniture and new lighting.
In the area next to the Murcia Parque municipal pool, a garden with palm trees has been created that harmonizes the entrance to this municipal facility.
The access structure to the auditorium, paved and metal fencing of the pool area is complete.
Work is currently being carried out in the landscaped area next to the Malecón, where the infrastructures of the sanitation and public lighting network have already been executed.
Pedestrian paths and sidewalks have been made and 80% of the pavements have been paved.
The plantations are also finished in their entirety.
