On the occasion of the Day of Charity, which is celebrated within the week of Corpus Christi, Caritas Region of Murcia calls for the generosity of all Murcia, for those people who need it most, through fifty charity tables that have been installed today in different parts of the Region (16 of them in the municipality of Murcia).
The mayor José Ballesta visited this morning the petition table of the Plaza Belluga, together with the Bishop of the Diocese of Cartagena, José Manuel Lorca Planes, the director of Cartitas, José Antonio Planes Valero, and the general director of Family and Social Policies in functions , Miriam Pérez.
José Ballesta said "the invaluable work" that Caritas does, which has a network of 3,000 volunteers in the Region.
"They come to each neighborhood and district of our municipality, where there is a parish Caritas that is attending in a quiet, permanent and altruistic basic needs of Murcia who have less," said the mayor, who added that "for the City of Murcia, Cáritas is one of the fundamental recipients of aid, for them to channel, with absolute confidence and security. "
