The elected councilors of Podemos-Equo Murcia City Council have promised their positions and have collected their respective minutes.
Ginés Ruiz Maciá regretted that he missed the opportunity to regenerate municipal policy and "return Murcia Murcia and the service of neighbors."
The two members of the municipal group Podemos-Equo have promised their positions this morning at the act of constitution of the City of Murcia.
Ginés Ruiz Maciá and Clara Martínez Baeza have collected their council minutes and have committed to Murcia to "work for them and their well-being."
In the intervention prior to the mayor's election, the spokesman of the group, Ginés Ruiz Maciá, wanted to emphasize that they will work "with loyalty and with firmness, always for the benefit of the neighbors and always trying to improve their day to day".
In the aforementioned speech, the councilor has insisted on the need for the municipality to have policies of "equality, equity and commitment".
In this sense, Ruiz Maciá regretted that "he continues to govern the same party that for 24 years has occupied the Glorieta with his back to the citizens".
Since Podemos Equo have wanted to highlight their collaboration with the opportunity for change, ready to vote for a different candidacy than the one presented by the Popular Party.
"Given the impossibility of that change and regeneration go ahead, I stand as a candidate for mayor."
Ginés Ruiz Maciá has received the two votes of the two members of the municipal group.
Although the own spokesman has assured "that if there was at the last moment the possibility of regenerating the municipal policy, that change will count on our support".
Ruiz Maciá stressed in his speech that Murcia is marked by "inequality, the difference between the residents of the center and the districts, corruption cases, which I will not list because I only have three minutes and I would not have time to talk about all, and the great promises that do not affect the well-being of Murcia and Murcia ".
The spokesman has also insisted that "we will work with institutional loyalty, supporting policies that improve the municipality and putting ourselves in front, with respect, before decisions that are not the most just and appropriate for Murcia and Murcia."
For Podemos-Equo, it is bad news that the Partido Popular maintains the baton for another four years in the City of Murcia and that it has the approval of Ciudadanos to perpetuate Ballesta's government.
"Citizens has become an accomplice to the unfair policies of the Popular Party and it was their job to remove them from the mayor's office, we do not understand that they have chosen corruption, clientelism and lack of equity over change and regeneration."
