"The case that we have just heard shows the lack of transparency in hiring by the winners of large contracts in the municipality, today the doubts appear about the hiring of the brother of the chief executive of La Glorieta", said the secretary General of the PSOE in Murcia, José Antonio Serrano.
Serrano again put on the table that "we must return the City of Murcia to citizens and that this case again corroborates that the clientele network of the City has no limits."
"We already said that our first task would be the commission of an audit and indeed it is urgent. Also in our government plan presented to the Citizens the first point was the regeneration to end any shadow of doubt about the City of Murcia" says Serrano.
"We believe that a government pact between PP and Cs has not been closed because the latter is reluctant to be an accomplice and in fact it has been significant and enlightening that the talks between both formations to reach a government pact have their greatest complications precisely because the side of transparency, just when Citizens have demanded research commissions "
Serrano adds that "now the question is simple, the same as anyone could do: what has to hide the PP to risk the government in the City of Murcia for not wanting an investigation?"
The municipal secretary of the PSOE notes that "it is clear that the refusal responds to a single motive, has something to hide and we know that such an opaque effort can be in the extensive network of clientele woven throughout the municipality."
Likewise, he adds that "this attitude also shows something that we have repeated over and over again, that Murcia is the zero zone of PP corruption".
Therefore, for Serrano it is urgent and essential to open doors and windows of the City of Murcia and promote an authentic institutional regeneration, only then we can move forward.
"The PSOE is willing to regenerate this municipality, we hope that Ciudadanos is not an accomplice of this Popular Party that is staining the name of the City of Murcia," concludes Serrano.
