The facade of the Annex Building to the City Council will shine tomorrow Wednesday special lighting for the IV Marathon of Solidarity Donation of Blood that will take place throughout the day on the ground floor of the City of Murcia, from 09.30 to 14.30 and from 16.30 to 21.30 .
The Department of Infrastructure, Public Works and Services, in collaboration with the Department of Sports and Health, directed by Rebeca Pérez and Felipe Coello, responds to the request made by the Regional Blood Donation Center, which intends to show its gratitude with this initiative to the donors who with their gesture help to save lives and encourage those who have not yet joined, to encourage them to do so.
In the three marathons previously held, 1,422 donors were assisted, 1,185 donations were obtained and 422 new donors were recruited.
Between 250 and 300 blood donations a day are needed to cope with the sanitary and surgical activity of regional hospitals.
