On the occasion of the International Day of the Archives, the acting mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, acomapñado of the acting councilor Jesús Pacheco, delivered this morning to the Bell of Auroros of Our Lady of Carmen of the Brotherhood of the Blessed Souls of Patiño , of digital images that collect salves and prayers that date back to the 19th century, preserved by the Municipal Archive.
There the members of Patiño's group played several musical themes dedicated to the workers of this municipal service located in the Almudí Palace, to which José Ballesta thanked his work "as guardians of the collective memory of Murcia, our roots and history as village".
With regard to the historical research work being carried out by the Bell of Auroros of Patiño, José Ballesta indicated that "the tradition is the memory of a people, what surpasses us in time;
a necessary link between what has been and what will be, and this group constitutes a valuable cultural and historical heritage, which have been transmitted orally from generation to generation ".
